  22. It isn't absolutely clear what you want to do.  The dis_pkt family of
  23. shims doesn't run kermit over a tcp/ip stack at all, but runs it over
  24. an NDIS2 driver.  Generally, you would have a problem if you also had
  25. the MSWfWG tcp/ip stack loaded.  (But you could have, e.g., the MSWfWG
  26. netbeui stack running just fine.)

  28. If in fact you are simply running kermit over NDIS2 drivers in WfWG and
  29. want to switch to Windows95 with NDIS3 drivers, you can use my ndis3pkt
  30. shim available from hsdndev.harvard.edu in pub/ndis3pkt.  It will serve
  31. the same purpose as dis_pkt+winpkt but without taking up any low memory.
  32. It also incorporates a pktmux-like mechanism to allow multiple tcp/ip
  33. stacks to coexist (at least as well as such things ever coexist) provided
  34. the stacks are all packet driver clients.  It will *not* allow you to run
  35. kermit and MSTCP on the same IP address on one machine.  However, many
  36. users have had success using both packet driver tcp/ip stacks (e.g., kermit)
  37. and MSTCP as long as they allocated different IP address to each.
